“We are a Public Safety Technology startup based in Nairobi, Kenya focusing and developing innovative solutions on emergency communication, response, and management for the Sub Saharan Africa region aimed at seeing its societies and cities becoming Safer, Connected and digitally Empowered.
Our mission was triggered in JAN 2019 during the Nairobi Dusit2 Complex terrorist attack in which over twenty people lost their lives and property damaged. This was after several other deadly attacks in the country that had left tens of lives lost and millions of properties destroyed. The pattern of events before, during and after this attack revealed several public safety gaps on how we protect ourselves, respond to emergency situations and manage our safety in our day to day lives. This led to the inception of Alatpres Technologies. Since then, we embarked on developing Accessible and Reliable innovative public safety solutions that completely re-imagine how societies protect themselves & their properties in a pro-active and collaborative manner. We have over time built the belief in us that life doesn’t have to be lost or properties damaged when any emergency event occurs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
At ALATPRES Technologies believes in quickly detecting security and emergencies threats before and when they happen and responding to them promptly. When an emergency or security event occurs, the ability of a victim(s) to seamlessly and reliably pass an alert directly to neighbors nearby, onsite security agencies, as well as other relevant response authorities is very essential in saving a life or asset loss. Collaboration between communities, police and other public safety teams is an approach that cannot be overlooked in today’s dynamic public safety environments as well as use data for a pro-active and improved public safety management system.
